Members of the Goyder SA Country Women's Association celebrated the 90th year of the organisation in Burra on Sunday.
First established by Mary Warnes MBE in Burra in 1929, the organisation South Australian Country Women's Association, celebrated this milestone with the unveiling of a plaque and special CWA roses on Sunday.
To commemorate and unveil the roses and plaque, executive members of the Goyder SACWA, Ian and Sue Warnes, Stuart MP Dan van Holst Pellekaan, along with Regional Council of Goyder all acknowledged the organisation.
The 90th year commemorative roses, a Floribunda - lightly scented hearty bush rose - and the plaque take pride of place in Burra's Market Square.
A number of events were held throughout 2019 in the state to commemorate the 90th year.
With groups scattered throughout the Clare Valley and Mid North now is the time to join your local branch. For more information, or to become a member, visit sacwa.org.au
