It's been many years since Booborowie and Spalding took to the football field in a match against pubs and towns.
This particular game, held in 1988 at the Spalding oval saw a team of young Booborowie and district men take to the field in a victorious game - all before many of the upgrades had occurred at the oval.
One of those players, Ken Bruce, originally from Booborowie, dropped into the Northern Argus to share the photo and tell us the story behind it and the games once held.
He said it was a social opportunity for the towns and communities, put on by the pubs, to enjoy an afternoon of competition and fun.
"It was a social game held on a Sunday," Mr Bruce said.
Town rivalry continues today with the Brinkworth Spalding Redhill (BSR) Tigers taking on Burra Booborowie Hallett (BBH) Rams in the North Eastern Football League.
With a rich history of town clashes like this, there's many stories and tales out there of the more light-hearted events that took place.
