Dissatisfied with a simple adrenaline rush, SA's top skydivers now gear up for the annual state championships hosted for this weekend.
According to organisers, competitors will need their composure at terminal velocity, as they work delicate manoeuvres while plummeting at speeds of 200-300kph, vying for a podium finish.
This year's championships, hosted at SA's iconic Adelaide Tandem Skydiving in Lower Light will be held from Saturday to Sunday, November 23-24.
With seven competition categories (including freefall/canopy formations and wingsuiting), top Australian coaches, and skydivers from across the state making the pilgrimage, the event is set to be a special part of the skydiving year.
The competition will see everyone from current Australian champions 'Line Burns', to first time competitors having a crack for the love of the sport.
Non-skydivers are all welcome to come watch the fun, and soak in the atmosphere.
Adelaide Tandem Skydiving is located at 4158 Port Wakefield Highway, Lower Light.
