Clare swim club is up and running for season 2019-20.
Despite the chilly spring weather, opening night saw more than 60 kids turn out for the first session on Monday, November 4.
Our first official carnival was this weekend with 12 swimmers heading south to Tea Tree Gully.
Once again the weather was not ideal but we still managed to get 10 personal bests on the board.
James Stockman won a gold and a silver medal, Cody Harrold silver and bronze and Lachie Lucas and Addy Ackland took out bronze medals - a fabulous achievement for all so early in the season.
Sunday, November 17, saw our first coaching clinic.
Swimmers of the Mid North came together to receive instruction from gold level coach Georgine Luscombe and her husband John.
With 30 Clare swimmers in attendance, at the Valleys Lifestyle Centre, they took advantage of the extra tips for the season ahead.
This weekend, November 23 and 24, the team heads to carnivals at Crystal Brook and Gawler.
Our big event for the season will be Country Championships in Murray Bridge and State championships at Marion in January.
Clare Swim Club has a range of members from youngsters right through to the open swimmers who compete throughout SA.
