The Flinders and Mid North are among five areas to have their Fire Danger Season start date brought forward by about two weeks.
CFS Deputy Chief Officer Andrew Stark said the decision to bring forward the Fire Danger Season in these areas was done in consultation with local Bushfire Management Committees and approved by the CFS Chief Officer.
"It's now a good time to prepare your homes for the season," Mr Stark said.
He wanted all families to ensure everyone know about what you would do on days of increased fire danger, or if a fire starts.
"CFS has a 5 Minute Survival Plan available on the website which will guide you in how to develop your plan," he said.
Fire Danger Season Dates gazetted: Flinders - 21 October - about 2 weeks early and Mid North - 1 November - 2 weeks early.
