Owners of heritage listed properties in the Clare & Gilbert Valleys have access to a $25,000 funding pool if they undertake restoration or conservation work on their properties.
CGVC has announced the funding for distribution to owners of State and Local Heritage Places through a competitive grant process.
A list of properties listed as places of local and State heritage significance is available on the council's website.
Council's manager development and community Andrew Christiansen said the grants could be used for restoration and conservation work such as painting and repairs or to engage design specialists.
"Buildings located within the Mintaro State Heritage Area are not automatically eligible, unless they are specifically listed within the Development Plan Tables," Mr Christiansen said.
State and Local Government owned properties are ineligible to apply, and properties are only eligible to receive a grant once every two years. Funding rounds will open annually.
"Property owners need to apply for a grant before works have begun and work already completed cannot be considered," he said.
"The minimum value of work to be undertaken is $2,000, with eligible projects able to seek up to 50% of the total cost of heritage works to a maximum of $5,000."
Mr Christiansen said it was vital for applicants to discuss their proposal with council's planning officers prior to submitting them, in order to determine eligibility.
