With the advent of the school holidays there were no games played within the CDHA competition last weekend.

However, the Barossa competition was still active and three CDHA United teams were scheduled to play.

Sadly, for the second week running, the Under 16 team found themselves without a game when their scheduled opponents, Tanunda Black, had to forfeit, subsequently handing CDHA United a 5 - 0 victory.

The other two games, B Women and B Men's, did play with Burra Community School being their chilly host.

In the B Women's game CDHA United found themselves up against the undefeated ladder leaders Tanunda.

The game started at a frantic pace and the first half proved to be a high scoring event and despite solid defending by both teams CDHA went in at the half time break 4 - 3 to their advantage.

The second half could have gone either way but Tanunda proved why they head the competition and a solid performance saw them slot away two unanswered goals to allow them to walk away as 6 - 4 victors.

As always these two teams meet the game was played in the very best possible spirit and was a pleasure to watch.

The CDHA United B Men's team also challenged the undefeated ladder leaders, Tanunda Black.

The match started with CDHA United three players short due to travel issues and despite putting up an admirable show they could not prevent the conceding of two early goals.

However, after 15 minutes of play CDHA United were up to full strength and what a transition.

The game flowed from end to end but it was CDHA who took the best advantage of situations and were able to level the scoreboard by the end of the half.

The next half proved equally as flowing with both teams creating numerous opportunities but it was CDHA United that got the next score on the board after some excellent team work allowed them to put away what proved to be the decider.

Tanunda Black fought exceptionally hard in the final quarter but stoic defending found them unable to convert and CDHA United put away the ladder leaders with a 3 - 2 win.
