Right Worshipful Brother Bruce Thomas, Past Grand Warden, was presented with a third five-year service to the Freemasons bar appended to his 50-year veteran's jewel.

RW Brother Thomas was initiated in Hallett Lodge on March 3, 1954, transferring to Wooroora Lodge at Riverton shortly afterwards and then subsequently accepted in the Mid North Lodge at Clare on 2016.

RW Brother Thomas received his service bar at a ceremony and celebration at the Mid North Lodge, Clare.

Apart from their monthly lodge meetings, Freemasons are deeply involved in helping other people and from its earliest days, charity has been the most visible Masonic activity, with Freemasons concerned with the care of orphans, the sick and the aged.

Large sums are given to national and local charities and in South Australia the charitable works of Freemasons are conducted through the Freemasons Foundation.
