Henry Paetke & Son ran a carpentry shop where Wild Saffron is now.
One went out the back door of the shop onto the veranda which led to the kitchen and dining room.
The stairs ran from the veranda up to the lounge room and bedrooms.
There was a large balcony where my great Aunt Molly Paetke held an afternoon tea for Back to Clare in 1928.
We have a photo of this event.
As well as furniture the Paetke firm also made their own coffins. There was always a wonderful smell of shaved wood when one entered the shop.
