Weather brings rainfall

As the region enjoyed another hit of rain late last week and solid rain overnight on Thursday, the countryside is starting to show the outcomes.

Netball and football practices were cancelled or moved indoors as the weather set in on Thursday night, May 9.

Tinges of green are now peeping through the ground in paddocks, sides of the road and in yards as the rain that fell leaves its mark.

In Clare, on Friday, May 10, the town received 35.6mm of rain, the last significant downpour was on December 14, with 26.4mm.

While in Eudunda, they recorded just 7.6mm on May 4 as the highest for the month so far, before this, the last rainfall event was on December 15, with 17.6mm.

For the month, Snowtown's highest recording of rain was on May 6, at 20.4mm, the town has recorded 28.6mm for the past 14 days.
