Every year the Clare Hockey Club look to enhance their player numbers by offering young people the opportunity to 'Come & Try' the all inclusive and family orientated sport of hockey.

This year was no different and despite the cooler weather and the threat of rain, many potential players and their parents descended upon the Clare High School Oval to try their hand.

Coaches Jayne Price, David Forrest, Kylie Pearce and Derek Upton put the budding stars through their paces allowing them to experience the many different aspects of the sport.

Afterwards, they all had the opportunity to challenge CHC Under 18 goalie James Cott's ability between the posts with many valiant attempts.

Finally everyone gathered to indulge in a sausage sizzle and an array of fresh fruit before heading home.

Parents expressed how much they and their charges had enjoyed the experience and CHC looks forward to welcoming everyone back once training starts after Easter.
