The Lower North Zone Swimming Carnival was held at the Burra swimming pool and hosted by Burra Community School on the evening of 18th February.
Teams from Balaklava High School, Burra Community School, Clare High School, Eudunda Area School, Horizon Christian School, Kapunda High School and Riverton and Districts High School converged on Burra to swim for both school and individual success.
Clare High School was very successful across the evening, winning the Championship shield, both the Boys and Girls Championship shield, as well as the improvement shield.
Riverton and District High School took out the Handicap Shield. This shield takes into account the overall result and is adjusted for student enrolments.
The swimming of the Plains Producer Handicap Race saw Isla Baum of Clare victorious over Tayah Schell (Clare), Will Pitt (Clare), Cody Redpath (Balaklava), Tara Heywood (Kapunda) and Luke Hart (Balaklava).
The night was very successfully supported by students, parents and school staff who cheered, volunteered and helped make the night great.
