A man missing from his east Victorian home for more than 10 weeks is the subject of a police search, with detectives confident people in the area hold the key to solving the mystery.
Bradley Lyons, 30, was last seen at his Lakes Entrance home on December 2, before a family member in Queensland reported him missing nine days later.
"I'm confident there are people in the Lakes Entrance area who know what has happened to Bradley and again, I'm urging those people to come forward and help us get some answers," Missing Person squad detective inspector Andrew Stamper said on Wednesday.
There are "grave concerns" for his welfare as his disappearance is extremely out of character, police said.
"We know there is a lot of local speculation and rumour about what has happened to Bradley," Det Insp Stamper said.
There was also commentary on social media, he said.
"There are a number of detectives investigating this case in Lakes Entrance at the moment, so if there are people who want to tell us more about what they know, now is the time."
Mr Lyons is described as about 177cm tall, with a thin build, brown eyes and dark brown hair.
