This year marks the 20th anniversary of the Marrabel Bull Ride.
The action-packed event, which is held in February each year as part of the National Professional Bull Riders (PBR) circuit, is a highlight on the region’s social calendar and brings together local families and visitors for a huge night of entertainment.
Starting at 7.30pm on Saturday, February 16 bull riding fans will have the opportunity to witness a host of accomplished riders put rough stock from Victoria and New South Wales through their paces, according to Marrabel Rodeo Club spokesperson Patrick Browne.
“The Marrabel Bull Ride is a great event for the whole family,” he said.
“We have a big screen for instant replays of the cowboys who will be competing for $15,000 in prize money.”
The Marrabel Bull Ride plays an important role in generating economic growth with the proceeds of this annual event benefitting local community groups, schools and sporting clubs.

Because of their dedication to sharing benefits with the community, Waterloo Wind Farm has come on board as a naming rights sponsor of the event for the next five years.
Waterloo Wind Farm community engagement manager Hannah Willson said they are extremely proud to partner with Marrabel Rodeo Club, who have a strong history in the region and are dedicated to supporting the local community.
“The Marrabel Bull Ride is not only a fantastic family event, it also brings a significant economic boost to the region by attracting visitors from out of town, which provides flow-on benefits to local businesses.”
Straight after the bull riding action finishes The Incredibles will be playing until late with a recovery breakfast on Sunday morning for those who camp.
