Sevenhill CFS presented a number of awards to its members at its annual Christmas barbecue.

The event gave the brigade the opportunity to thank the community, family and friends for their support during the year, but to also recognise the achievements and service provided by brigade members.

A number of awards were presented to brigade members acknowledging their service to both the local brigade and the Country Fire Service.

Between the award recipients there’s 165 years of volunteer time – and that doesn’t include everyone in the brigade.

Clare and Gilbert Valleys Council deputy Mayor Elizabeth Calvert also attended the event.

Awards went to: Adam Rowley - CFS Service Medal - 10 years, Andrew Weatherley - National Medal Second Clasp - 35 years, Tina Maynard and Michael Hallett - National Medal First Clasp - 25 years, Steve Durkay and Trevor Corfield - Brigade Service Award acknowledging 35 years service to the brigade and as founding members.
