MG cars from the early 1900s through to the current model sedan will tour the Clare Valley region this month and will be on display for a Show and Shine at the Clare Oval.
Eighty members of the MG Car Club of South Australia in 41 vehicles will drive into the district on Friday, November 23 for the weekend.
Members will meet at Carisbrooke Park, Salisbury Park for the beginning of their journey to Riverton where they will visit the Robert Hannaford and Alison Mitchell’s Riverton Light Gallery.
The Riverton Bowling Club will provide lunch for Club members before they explore more of the local town attractions prior to driving to Clare, where the Clare Country Club will provide a base for the weekend.
Other Club activities will include Saturday morning tea at Paulett's Winery, an afternoon 'Lunch Run' to Burra, and a Sunday morning visit to Bungaree Station.
The cars will be displayed to the public with at the Clare Oval from 2-3pm on Sunday, November 25 where vehicle owners will be happy to chat about their vehicles.
