Students excel at Royal Show

Clare High School has had yet another successful year in the schools’ competition at the recent Royal Adelaide Show. 

The team of students, led by teacher Lesley Squires and assistant David Quick, were awarded third prize for the Red Angus steer (Anama Nigel) in his weight category. 

Goats awards include: first in the 47–50 kg weight category – Clare High Ronald; third in the 47–50 kg weight category – Clare High Spencer; fifth in the 41-43.9 weight category – Clare High Bolt; sixth in Best School in the Grand Parade. 

Clare High Ronald was awarded Champion Live Weight Export Wether. He was also awarded Grand Champion Wether on Hoof. 

In addition, Clare High School won the prize for Best relationship between the led wether goat and handler – William Thomas.
