Saddleworth Community Hub shop will provide the perfect setting for a ‘Meet our local Writers’ chat in late September.

Organisers encourage those from far and wide to meet talented writers from the Clare and Gilbert Valley region to their afternoon gathering.

It will be an opportunity to hear from Clare's Lilly Barrett Clare, renowned romance writer, Riverton's David Cousins, purveyor of Aussie jokes, Saddleworth's Elinor A Bellman, local historian, and Saddleworth's Alice Sladdin, local poet and state finalist of the Inaugural National Poetry Slam.

The writers with discuss why they write and highlight their work, with readings and book signings on offer.

The event falls on Sunday, September 30 from 1pm-3pm.

Saddleworth Community Hub shop is located at 22-24 Belvidere Road, Saddleworth

Organisers welcome a gold coin donation to support farmers experiencing hardship and affects of the drought.
