World Triathlon Grand Final for Lyn Humphris

A keen triathlete, Lyn Humphris, of Jamestown, has taken to the sport with commitment and determination.

This has seen her successfully qualified for the World Triathlon Grand Final in September – this will be held in the Gold Coast and will take place 12-16 September in Gold Coast

The competition will see her compete against triathletes from throughout the world in her age group.

Her selection follows a highly successful 2018 Triathlon season, including winning the State Series Triathlon for her age group (50-55).

She also won the Duathlon State Series and Gatti sprint.

Dedicated to her training, Lyn travels to Adelaide once a week for training and competed in her first triathlon Lyn competed in her first triathlon at the Port Pirie Triathlon Club in November 2014. 

Lyn said she was living the dream.

"I really didn't think any of this was possible, but if you chip away at training and competing with consistency, you can surprise yourself," Lyn says.

Lyn is one of five South Australians in all age groups who qualified for the world event.
