Horses and their mounts took to the roads of Marrabel at the recent South Australian Endurance Riders Association’s annual two-day competition.
The event attracted 35 entries in the 80km event and 20 training riders from throughout the state.
Saturday's weather tested horses and riders as they navigated mostly dry weather roads.
Some sections were ridden through local farm tracks before they encountered a section of 15-25kms of hill work via the Tothill Ranges before returning to base at the Marrabel Rodeo grounds.
Scenic and picturesque trails offer riders are great view of the Marrabel area and competitors enjoy the challenging yet fun ride.
Categories included junior light weight, middle weight and heavy weight sections.
Junior: Kieran Bright on Meldana Kesi, Echunga
Light weight: Jessica Astrope on Sheridan Park Kaison, Mintaro
Middle weight: (dual winners) Jodie Luck on Lindall Alabaska, Murray Bridge and Jillian Bourton on Veloce Firenze, Birdwood.
Heavy weight: Ken Smith on Sir Bubbles, Robertstown
