Local MP Geoff Brock was out and about in the Frome electorate on Monday, which gave constituents the opportunity to discuss any issues they may have.
I find these visits quite enjoyable and by far a greater value to see a situation than discuss it on the phone.Frome MP Geoff Brock
Mr Brock made stops at the Wakefield Regional Council office in Balaklava and the Manoora Hall.
With Mr Brock’s office located in Port Pirie, this makes it difficult for constituents in the wider electorate to meet with their Member of Parliament.
These listening posts give residents the opportunity to meet with Mr Brock.
Mr Brock said that he enjoyed getting out into the communities through these listening posts.
“I hope to keep my listening post to the towns and plan to try and return in another 12 – 18 months as it not only gives me the chance to see and hear first hand what concerns the constituents have but a chance for me to see the bigger picture of the communities in areas that I represent,” Mr Brock said.
“I find these visits quite enjoyable and by far a greater value to see a situation than discuss it on the phone.
“The concerns and suggestions from the visits have been positive; that could be advantages to everyone for future developments in the electorate.”
Listening posts have been a staple of Mr Brock’s time in Government.
