Knit Spin Weave hosts event for the first time

Young and old joined together for World Knitting in Public Day on Saturday.

Hosted in Clare’s Edwards Arcade, it was the first time it had been done in the town, thanks to Knit Spin Weave owner Tracy Henwood.

People from Spalding, Renmark and Adelaide joined in.

Beginners, intermediates and the pros joined together for a few laughs, to learn new skills and enjoy their shared passions.

Mrs Henwood said it was a great morning out and she was impressed with those who took part in the worldwide event.

World Knitting in Public Day might happen once a year, but there’s nothing to stop people from taking their pieces of work to the park or outside any other day of the year.
