Why not treat your senses this weekend and visit the Riverton Country Markets.
It’s the perfect place to catch up with friends, enjoy a taste of what the region has to offer and discover the range of produce that has been lovingly grown and processed in the Clare Valley region.
The market is held in Riverton on the third Saturday of each month and gives food lovers the chance to fill the fridge and pantry with fresh seasonal produce and more.
There is always a huge variety of local produce including vegetables, dried fruit, oil, honey, fresh bread, cakes, jams, scones and coffee.
Market organiser Karen Slape said, “We have roughly 60-80 stall holders at the hall and we hold the markets in the park twice a year."
“We have a very diverse range of traders from fashion, to jewellery, toys, kids clothes, food, oils, soaps, plants, all sorts of things, there’s just heaps,” Karen said.
Riverland apricots and Barossa Super Foods will be back, along with the team from the Lions Club who are excited to be showcasing their new van at the market.
Also new to the market is Jill who will be selling her pickled yabbies, yabby pie and yabby spring rolls.

Too full? Well, luckily, there’s not just food to be enjoyed.
There are plenty of beautiful crafts, antiques, books, furniture and gifts available, as well as massages, face painting, henna tattoos, live music by Phil King and cooking demonstrations.
Tania from Flavourista is new to the market and will be talking about her range of herbs, spices and sauces, as well as some amazing recipes.
Make a note on your calendar to pop down to Riverton Community Hall on Saturday, February 17 from 9am-1pm to see, smell, listen, taste, touch and experience a true country market.
