Following a couple of days without connection, Clare Police Station is now online again and is directly contactable.
The police station was without a phone line, with calls directed to Port Pirie and then relayed via mobile back to Clare.
Police (131 444) assistance was directed to Adelaide.
On Thursday, connection was restored and members of the public are now able to call direct to the office where they will speak with someone locally or be directed to Port Pirie if the office is unattended.
South Australian Police, along with Clare Police, advised the public the landline telephone was working and back to normal operation.
They both thanked the Clare Valley community for their patience in the matter.
