Changes to the entry system for the Rotary Club of Clare’s 2018 Art Show should help volunteers and organisers to streamline the running of the event.
The committee will use an free online system known as Gallery 24/7, where artists can log in and enter, have access to the Clare Art Show and more.
In January, entries will open for the Rotary Club of Clare’s Art Show via Gallery 24/7 website with direct links to the show.
Artists will need access to the internet, to join but help can be provided through the Rotary Club of Club.
Rotary president Stephen Freeman said the change would not only assist volunteers and relieve them of additional pressures, but also help artists to easily streamline their entries.
“It (also) gives us a broader database to attract exhibitors to the art show,” Mr Freeman said.
“It’s a huge amount of work which will be relived from our volunteers.”
Mr Freeman said he was excited by the potential to attract more artists to the show.
The Rotary club is also taking applications from community groups, preferably in the Clare and Gilbert Valleys Council, to give support with the proceeds
Each year about $10,000 is donated to a number of groups throughout the region – this has included worth causes such as Neagles Rock Conservation Park, Clare Showgrounds, RFDS, Clare hospital and more.
