Quorn woman charged with murder

A woman has been charged with murder following a collision between a car and a pedestrian at Quorn in the last night.

Just after 8pm, Friday, November 24, police and emergency services were called to Park Terrace in the Quorn Township near Chichester Street after a car hit a pedestrian.

Desperate attempts by police and a local doctor to revive the 38-year-old Quorn man were sadly unsuccessful and he died at the scene.

The driver, a 48-year-old Quorn woman, was arrested at the scene and has been charged with murder.

She was refused bail and will appear in court on Monday, November 27.

Major Crash Investigators and detectives from Port Augusta CIB are investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.

Although the investigation is in its early stages, it’s believed all parties are known to each other.
