Past and present members of the Brinkworth community gathered in Stockyard Reserve on Saturday night to celebrate the towns 125 birthday.
Also in attendance were Wakefield Regional Council Mayor Rodney Ried, Federal member for Grey Rowan Ramsey, Minister for Regional Development Geoff Brock, and Liberal candidate for Frome Kendall Jackson.
The Brinkworth History Group also released the second edition of the town’s history book Magpie Junction was available for purchase on the night.
Mayor Rodney Reid and Wakfield Community Development Officer Holly Cowan also unveiled a new drinking fountain which is situated at Stockyard Reserve and was donated by the Council.
Games and entertianment was also organised for the younger members of the community.
The celebrations continued long into the night, with the attendees reminiscing on the good old days.
