Both Eudunda and Burra pools have opened for the summer of 2017/2018.
Regional Council of Goyder’s technical support officer Sam Rosser said both council-runned pools opened on Friday, November 10.
“It’s a safe environemtn for the family and community to swim,” Mr Rosser said.
Both pool sites have 25 metre length pools and toddler swimming areas.
They are also affordable, with just $2 entry fee per person.
Burra’s pool is located in the school site, while Eudunda’s is on the Morgan road near the town oval.
“It’s a fun, affordable, family place to visit.”
Mr Rosser said both facilities had a canteen and they welcomed all to enjoy what was on offer.
Burra pool is open from 3-5.30pm and then 6.30-9pm – swim club is held between the two session times.
Mr Rosser said the pools would only open to the public for swimming if the forecast temperature was 28 degrees or over per the televised weather report for Port Pirie, broadcast the evening before by the television stations.
Both pools will remain open until March 11, unless the weather is warmer in which case Mr Rosser said opening times could increase.
