A sea of colourful hats and fascinators could be seen at the Melbourne Cup celebrations held in the function room of the Vine Inn, Nuriootpa on Tuesday.
The event once again attracted over 100 people from across the Barossa who were keen to catch up with friends and enjoy a meal, a few beverages and place a bet on their preferred horse.
As part of the event, a fashion parade was held and compered by Nuriootpa Futures Association secretary Kathryn Schilling with clothes modelled by local faces, including Vine Inn general manager Chris Linden.
Ian Curren was on hand to host the Tinker’s Shed Cup where four guests had the opportunity to reel in horses to win a wooden cup.
And in case you missed it, the Melbourne Cup 2017 winners were, 1st Rekindling, 2nd Johannes Vermeer and 3rd Max Dynamite.
