Employees, friends, supporters, buyers and the family of Princess Royal Station dug deep at their annual Christmas in July celebration.

Princess Royal Station owners Simon and Andrea Rowe are strong supporters of the community and at the show Simon decided to raise funds for the community.

Last year, Meals on Wheels (SA) Inc. Burra were presented with a cheque for $997.90, from a ‘funny hat’ themed celebration.

The surprise theme for Princess Royal’s 2017 show was a toga party, where guests were presented with a toga on arrival.

Guests were asked if they could bring along a pocket full of change to participate in the much-anticipated game of ‘Simon Says’.

The game was played throughout the evening, and thanks to the generosity of the attendees, $1000.00 was raised through gold coin donations.

This year, Princess Royal approached the Burra Hospital, to see if there was something the hospital required – the $1000 would be contributed to it.

Following discussions with Sue Williams, the Burra Hospital and Princess Royal settled on a chair, which would make the task of taking blood from patients.

The Hospital and community alike, appreciate this donation, and thank Princess Royal for their generosity.
