Goals CDHA United : Owen Jenner 1, Thomas Lymburn 1, Elizabeth Cornwell 1
The arctic cold saw more blue in the uniforms that usual!
CDHA United started strong right from the start of the game with the ball moving around nicely between players.
A number of short corners were awarded but AMU held tight and defended well.
CDHA’s first goal came from a short with Thomas Lymburn’s determination and efforts rewarded. Play continued to press into CDHA attack.
Owen Jenner was the second to score off a short corner with his beautiful clean hit into the corner of the goals.
AMU was able to move the ball into their attack but was halted by CDHA’s strong defence.
The second half saw CDHA have to work harder as the younger AMU team tightened their game.
It was more evenly matched with the ball flowing into both circles.
A great run by Thomas Lymburn, weaving around players and having a shot with Elizabeth Cornwell in prime position to finish it off for the third and final goal.
A good game by CDHA who moved the ball around well against a younger team.

Goals CDHA United: Brianna Cheetham 1, Rhea Greenshields 1, Roweena Tiller 1
There was some discussion of taking a point each and sitting inside around a fire to enjoy the afternoon with a warm beverage.
It was decided that this may not be in the ‘spirit of sport’ so played in the freezing! It took a little bit to warm up literally.
With play relatively even, both teams working well in attack and defence.
Once warm, CDHA moved the ball around well making AMU’s defence work hard.
Rhea Greenshields was the first on the board with a goal from a short corner.
The ball continued to move back and forward.
In the second half AMU were more determined and pressed into attack, wanting to hold their gap on the premiership table.
CDHA’s defence worked well with fast legs Ellen Canna having a ripper of a game.
A string of short corners saw Krystal Landorf execute fast and direct to Brianna Cheetham who took no time in sinking the second goal.
The third and final goal was a great team effort from quick pass into the circle with Naomi Tucker crossing the ball to Roweena Tiller who pushed it in.
Both these teams are very evenly matched and always have a great tussle, today was no exception.
CDHA pleased to get the points as three points separate 3rd, 4th and 5th spot on the premiership table.
