Sue Longbottom’s first solo exhibition “Far Horizons and Beyond” opened at Scarlattis Gallery on Sunday to hordes of the artist’s followers from the Yorke and Eyre peninsulas and the Barossa.
Ms Longbottom’s eclectic series of paintings, mainly oil and acrylics, are real life exceptional drawings of flowers, beachside scenes, country landscapes and portraits.
The high standard of her artistic merit was attested to by the number of works which were sold at the opening. The exhibition runs until July 23.
Scarlattis Gallery is open from 10am to 5pm, each day of the week and presents new works every five weeks, which can include more than one artist.
The gallery is part of the Mt Surmon Food & Frolics which includes a cellar door, function room and accommodation.
