Clare Rise Bakery have been selected as one of the best bakeries in South Australia, according to website SA Weekend Escapes.
The nomination places the newly established bakery next to other popular regional shops, such as Tanunda Bakery, Bush Bakery and Quandong Café and Truro’s Sunrise Bakery.
Owners Chris and Amanda Harris said they were surprised when they found the story online naming them as one of the state’s best because they did not enter any competitions or had not been notified of their selection.
“It’s good to get the wider appreciation and national exposure,” Mr Harris said.
“It’s also a great team effort and we have a great team of bakers and customer service staff here all doing an incredible job.”
The bakery was established in 2013 and has already been selected twice as one of the best in the state.
Mr Harris said they have always tried to source as much as they can from local producers.
They have also just launched a Camel pie, offering something a bit different.
