Art @ Auburn officially launched

A packed gallery, with little room to move, celebrated the official opening of Art @ Auburn.

The official opening of Art @ Auburn, a collective group of local emerging artists, took place on Sunday, August 9 – with the help of Member for Frome Geoff Brock and Cherie Harvey, chairperson of HATs.

The packed out gallery, formerly Ventura’s Visions, was a warm welcoming for those who ventured out to support the newly formed Art @ Auburn group.

Tracy Vandepeer welcomed guests, artists and the group thanking them for the work they had put into turning a dream into reality.

“We are a not for profit group and we welcome any donations,” Tracy said.

Member for From Geoff Brock was excited to be back in the Clare Valley and congratulated Tracy and the team on their efforts.

“It’s really, really terrific that they (the artists) can come in and sell their wares in the one spot,” Mr Brock said.

Cherie Harvey from HATs in Auburn commented that Auburn was well on its way to becoming the arts hub of the Clare Valley.

“I sincerely wish Art @ Auburn all the best,” Cherie said.

Tracy thanked the artists for showing their work and putting the time and effort in to promoting visual arts in the region.

“It’s a huge thing to put yourself on the walls and for others to come along and judge your work,” Tracy said.

Art @ Auburn is located in Auburn in the former Ventura’s Visions gallery and is packed full of local work.
