The Kapunda Tennis Club has received a $25,000 grant from the Active Club program for its lighting project.

The grant will assist the club to install lighting to three tennis courts that are without lights, allowing for increased social and competitive tennis events for the community.

In addition to ongoing yearly support from Kapunda local businesses, the club has also received generous sponsorship from the local Wind Farm Company RES, Australia and the Community Store Nuriootpa to complete this project.

Stuart MP Dan van Holst Pellekaan was pleased to present Kapunda Tennis Club with a certificate of funding.

The Active Club Program helps active recreation and sports clubs with programs and equipment (up to $5000) and facility upgrade requests (up to $25,000 on a $1 for $1 basis).

It has an annual budget of $2,750,000 with two funding rounds per year.

The next round of the Active Club Program opens on February 10, 2018.
