Blyth v Burra

Blyth made it two wins in a row in the Mid North Saturday Pennants with an 18 shot win over Burra.

Burra walked away empty handed as the home side added 12 points to their season total after a win on all three rinks.

Blyth will face Robertstown on Saturday, while Burra takes on second placed Clare Gold.

Clare Gold v Robertstown

Clare Gold maintained their hold on second place on Saturday by defeating Robertstown 77-62.

After a loss in round two, Clare Gold have strung together three wins in a row to now sit eight points off of first place.

Teams 1 and 3 for Clare Gold recorded wins, which meant they added 10 points to their season total.

Team 2 for Robertstown had a four point which gave them two points from the contest.

Robertstown sit in fifth place on the ladder, and welcome third placed Blyth this weekend.

Clare Gold will travel to Burra.

Auburn v Spalding

Spalding lifted themselves off the bottom of the ladder with a convincing 81-65 win over Auburn, their first of the season.

The visitors walked away from Auburn Green with 10 points after winning two out of three ranks.

Team 1 from Auburn prevented Spalding from making it three from three with a narrow 25-23 win, ensuring that the home side would not walk away empty handed.

Spalding moved up one place on the ladder to ninth with an eight point lead over Saddleworth who now occupy last place.

Auburn sit in eighth position, eight points ahead of Spalding.

Spalding travel to Clare to face Clare Blue on Saturday with an aim to make it two wins in a row, while Auburn will take on first placed Watervale.

Mintaro v Watervale

Mintaro had its second loss in a row, falling to the undefeated Watervale on Saturday.

In round 4, Mintaro’s undefeated streak was broken up by a shock 24 point loss to Burra which moved them down to fourth place.

The league leaders Watervale added to the misery with a 76-68 victory.

The Red Devils took two rinks out of three on Saturday with teams 2 and three recording wins.

Watervale welcome Auburn this weekend with an eye on their sixth straight win, while Mintaro will look to bounce back from their rough patch when they take on last placed Saddleworth.

Saddleworth v Clare Blue

Saddleworth continued their rocky start with their fifth straight league defeat, 74-67 by Clare Blue.

Clare Blue took maximum points from the contest after they won all three rinks.

The loss meant Saddleworth dropped to last place with Spalding recording a win.

Clare Blue will welcome Spalding to Clare this weekend, while Saddleworth will travel to Mintaro.
