Riverton's community gathered to pay tribute at the Remembrance Day service on Saturday.
Those present acknowledged 99 years since the end of WWI and 2017 marking the 100th anniversary of Australia's worst year ever in 1917 World War One at the service held in Scholz Park by the Riverton RSL sub-branch.
Students laid wreaths, while visitors paid their respects at the service.
RSL members welcomed all to the annual event and thanked them for their presence.
A solemn day is marked with gratitude as all remembered those who fought for our right to enjoy the country we live in.
In a special presentation, residents of the Riverton Senior Citizens Homes designed and made, then gave the Riverton RSL House, a mosaic poppy.
