A man has been handed a 12 month loss of license after he was caught drink driving at Blyth on Saturday night.

The driver was breath tested at around 6:30PM during a routine traffic stop, and he was issued the loss of license after he allegedly produced a blood alcohol reading of 0.229.

The 35-year-old Mid North man was reported for drink driving, breach of mandatory interlock conditions and breaching conditions of his provisional licence.

He will be summoned to court at a later date.
