Clare equestrian, Lauren French has successfully competed at the Riding for the Disabled Association State Championships. 

Lauren and her mount, Eden Eyre Mitchell (Mitch), took to the dressage arena to ride two tests – grade 4 team test A (twice) –  and received a 62.8 per cent and 64pc, she also placed second in the working trail ride. 

They were presented with the overall championship for the para tests.

The pair will now head to the national RDA competition in Werribee where they will compete in the Grade 4 Novice test A, Grade 4 Novice test B, a freestyle to music test, a working trail and two showjumping rounds. 

Lauren said she enjoyed the day and thanked the judges, pencillers, gearcheckers, helpers and committee members for the time and effort that went into the competition. 

“It was a lovely day and great to catch up with everyone. Thank you to RDA SA for a great competition,” she said.

Lauren also thanked her support crew and congratulated the other competitors. 

“Thank you once again to all of the people that always support Mitch and I. Let's bring on Nationals at Werribee,” she said.
