Both teams started hard, however the first goal of the game came from Bizi Cornwell early in the piece.

Although the supporters on the sideline were confused about the goal actually being scored as the celebrations were toned down by the players.

AMU returned fire with Connor Farquhar not only scoring their first goal of the game, but also the first of the season.

The AMU side were pumped … with scores even, it was game on.

Owen Jenner took advantage of a great position in the circle and fired one straight through the AMU keeper to score.

This time celebrations were heard from the field and the sideline!

The CDHA United team were then hit with injury, with Owen Jenner rolling an ankle and not long after, Bizi Cornwell took a ball to the throat.

With both players on the bench getting iced and bandaged, the rest of the team were determined to push on.

Beautiful passing through the midfield between Max Price and Harrison Williams was backed up by the running play of Nick Burfitt and Thomas Lymburn, who were able to seal the first half with a brilliant goal to Thomas Lymburn just before time was called.

The second half saw the injured two, Owen and Bizi return to the field and offer additional fire power to the CDHA side.

AMU did not time gave up and tried desperately to clear the ball from the CDHA forward line.

However each time the ball was cleared past the 25, CDHA United trapped the ball and returned it back to the goal circle.

Owen Jenner converted one of the opportunities to a goal bringing the final score of the game to 4-1.

The CDHA United  team now plays Tanunda in the grand final on Saturday, September 16 at 10am at Stockwell.

It is important for supporters to go along and cheer the team on!
