Clare High School hosts first careers expo

Clare High School’s gymnasium filled with a variety of businesses from the Clare Valley to give insight into what’s available for school students.

It was an opportunity for students to ask questions about their chosen fields, or gain more knowledge in areas they might be keen to pursue.

Everything from being a journalist, to a doctor, vet (or vet nurse), real estate agent, hairdresser, police officer or agricultural scientist was on offer for students to see.

The careers expo was a first for the school, a night-time opportunity was also organised.

The afternoon gave businesses in attendance the chance to chat with students and show off just what you could aim to achieve in a country town such as Clare.

It is hoped the careers expo continues to be an annual event.
