Former Clare school student Hannah Salter is pursuing her career in fitness with a position at the Valleys Lifestyle Centre.

Hannah, who attended St Joseph’s School and then Clare High School, has always enjoyed sports and fitness activities, which led to her working at Sportspower in Clare and studying and completing her qualifications as a personal trainer.

She is currently studying for a Diploma in Nutrition.

Work placement while studying for her qualifications brought her regularly into the Valleys Lifestyle Centre and when a position came up as a fitness instructor she jumped at the chance.

The role works in well with her job at Sportspower and her own personal training business, Energised Personal Training.

Hannah comes to the Valleys once a week as a group fitness instructor, including aqua classes on Wednesday evenings.

“I plan circuits for pool classes and different water resistance exercises and cardio – it’s great for people who can’t do high impact work or those coming back from injury,” she said.
