Wins at the Decanter World Wine Awards and the International Wine Challenge will assist Claymore Wines’ push into the export market.

The company recently received Platinum in the Decanter World Wine Awards 2017 and gold, silver and bronze in the IWC.

The accolades came at a time when Claymore was also successful at gaining a grant to help with their export program.

Claymore Wines’ general manager Carissa Major said the awards were a massive gong for the company.

She explained, ‘Dark Side of the Moon’, their best selling product, received a gold in its category during the challenge.

Meanwhile, ‘London Calling’, Cabernet Malbec 2015, received Platinum Best in Category – Best Value Australian Red Blend in the Decanter World Wine Awards 2017.

“This is a huge award for us and for the inaugural release of our London Calling Cab Malbec,” Ms Major said.

“We developed this cheeky little blend to punch above its weight and this Decanter award validates that,” she added.
