Bridges from around the world were featured in the Clare Camera Club’s June ‘Bridge/s’ competition.
From rickety old footbridges to massive structures like the Sydney Harbour Bridge, every style and condition of the structures spanned the entries.
Comments from the judge, Jeffrey Venning, of Whyalla, laid down the foundations for a discussion on improvements in the photos.
Fortunately the question of what is the difference between a viaduct and a bridge did not arise.
The club’s July meeting will be held a week early, on June 30, to enable the judge to be with the members on the night and talk about the entries.
He will join the meeting at 8pm in the Clare Uniting Church and will be looking at the photos depicting ‘Weather and its effects’.
