Adelaide residents will have the privilege to sample the best of the Clare Valley next month at the pop up event “Clare Valley on Leigh Street”.
The event will run from 4.30pm to 7.30pm on Friday, May 5.
Twenty-two wineries will showcase new vintage varieties, flagship wines and iconic Clare Valley rieslings at the event.
There will also be information and offers on the upcoming 2017 Clare Valley Gourmet Weekend to be held from May 19 to 22.
Clare Valley Winemakers Incorporated chair Andrew Pike said this would be a unique opportunity for the country to come to the city for one night.
“We want to showcase the Clare Valley region and the representing individual wine brands,” he said.
“What better place to do this than in the heart of Adelaide on Leigh Street, which will be transformed for one night into a wine lover’s laneway.
“We also see this as a great opportunity to share information on the upcoming 2017 Clare Valley Gourmet Weekend and encourage customers to jump on board our regional food and wine festival and head to Clare in May.”
CVWI executive officer Tania Matz said Clare Valley on Leigh Street would be a fabulous evening.
“The event will kick off at 4.30pm, so city workers can come straight after work or grab a drink before dinner,” she said.
