Recycling old frames as succulent holders is something Tanya Ronayne, of Stanley Flat, enjoys doing, but on a recent shop she came across a striking photo.

Known as a photo nut by her family, Ms Ronayne said it was important to her that she returned this photo to its owner or a family member.

The photo was found in a frame purchased by Ms Ronayne at the Clare Valley Christian Outreach op shop in Clare.

“It is such a beautiful old photo, we don’t want to throw him out,” Ms Ronayne said. Having pulled it out of the frame, Ms Ronayne checked for any writing on the back or any indication as to who it might be, but there was no information.

Ms Ronayne said it was definitely someone’s photograph, not a promotional piece for the frame.

She believed it was only recently given to the op shop.

“I would just love to pass it onto a grandchild, daughter or son,” Ms Ronayne said.
