Brad moved to the states in May, married his American partner Laura and now resides in Jefferson City Missouri.

His rodeo riding began here in South Australia and he’s seen great success locally and internationally in previous years.

Brad placed third overall at the Missouri Rodeo Cowboy Association State Finals at St Louis in the National Equestrian Centre and also took out the reserve champion for end of year money earner.

Rodeo season (2016) began in June for Brad and was halted for six weeks in September due to an arm break.

Brad’s mum, Leeanne Williams said following his broken arm and time out of the arena, the end of year champ was able to catch him and close the points gap.

“Brad had six weeks for his arm to heal before finals. Brad went into finals hoping he would ride all his stock over the three nights in the indoor arena at St Louis Missouri,” Mrs Williams said.

“He was very happy with what he achieved in the small amount of time considering the other cowboys had three months’ start on Brad.”

Brad will compete in the United Rodeo Association finals to be held at Topeka Kansas in November, he’s currently sitting in third position in this association.
