Nine recipients, including the South Australia’s Country Fire Service, will receive a share of $30,000 for projects and initiative as part of annual community grants by EnergyAustralia.

The Waterloo Wind Farm Community Grants Program, running for it’s third consecutive year, will "deliver positive and sustainable differences to the local community" in the mid north region EnergyAustralia said on their website.

CFS's Waterloo Brigade Captain, Daniel Schoenberg, said funds supplied to the CFS will allow them to “safely and efficiently attend to an emergency situation relying solely on our own resources”.

EnergyAustralia also added $10,000 to the fund this year "because previous grant rounds have been so successful in contributing to positive change in the region".

Other recipients include Burra Regional Tourism and Manoora Primary School.
