Police believe a multi-tasking Gold Coast man arrested over an alleged sex attack on a teen girl may also have tried his hand at burglary.
The 24-year-old from Labrador is accused of following a 16-year-old girl, grabbing and threatening to rape her as she walked along Olsen Avenue at Labrador in March.
Investigators suspect he may also be behind a spate of break and enter offences in the same area after several "unique" pieces of jewellery were discovered in his home during a search.
Police will go public with the items later today in an effort to locate the owners.
The girl had been walking home from after visiting a friend about 9.40pm on March 26 when she was allegedly approached in Hentdale Court by the man, who made lewd comments.
He allegedly reappeared in Olsen Avenue and again propositioned the girl before grabbing and threatening to rape her.
She managed to escape, however.
The man is due to face Southport Magistrates Court later today, charged with sexual assault.
