Eudunda’s Jessica Geister, Crystal Brook’s Carly Pavy and Min Man’s Maddie Hill are members of the SA Country netball team which will meet the Thunderbirds in a modified netball carnival this Sunday.
Known as the Netty 20 Fast Net Challenge, the SA Country Team will compete against the Adelaide Thunderbirds, Subway Cup State league squads and Men’s Squad in an effort to take home the trophy and cash prize.
SA Country Team players have been selected in several different ways, including some members being from the Top 10 Country Championships Team and the remainder either best and fairest or runner-up award winners for 2009 in their country associations.
Other SA Country team members are: Penny Chappel, Tracey Copeland (Barossa Light & District), Jessica Dunkley (Pt Pirie), Leanne Fetherstone-Haugh (River Murray), Tara Harris (Whyalla), Alison Hilton (Mallee), Bree Leibhardt (Great Southern) Cassie Martin (River Murray), Sonja Modlinski (Riverland), Roxanne Reynolds (Great Southern), Kathy Roberts (Whyalla).
The Fast Net Challenge will be held this Sunday at ETSA Park, entry is just a gold coin donation.
